Happy Friday! We are excited to share the rest of our New Traditional reveal today!
Let’s start with the upstairs bedrooms. First up is the teenage daughter’s bedroom. We had SO MUCH FUN with this space! The room ended up a little bit girly and a little bit edgy making it the perfect place to hang out with girlfriends or have quiet downtime to herself.
One of the most unique spots in the room was a spot we could envision her cozied up in often - a hanging acrylic swing with the most FUN neon sign as a backdrop. All You Need Is Love!
We went more traditional in the master bedroom and created a soothing place for the homeowners to start and end their day. Since the palette was soft, we wanted to add interest with texture and pattern. The mirrored and textured night stands, nail head trim on the bed, soft patterns on the pillows and rug all added a richness without being too bold.
In the same vein, we kept it simple and traditional in the master bathroom as well. Hard and crisp materials like the tub and marble floors are softened by the lush curtains and tufted ottoman. You don’t see long curtains in bathrooms very often, but they make THIS bathroom feel so inviting.
The last bedroom upstairs is an additional guest room which this family needed for out of town guests that often come. With a guest room featuring peacocks downstairs, we knew we had to make this one SHINE as well!
We went with Bohemian patterned fabrics, lots of fringes, and natural materials as accents to create a welcoming space. With the holidays on the horizon, we know this spot will be well loved!
On the opposite wall, we did a whimsical wallpaper feature wall and Bohemian accessories to tie it all together. And check out the woodwork on that dresser!
Headed back downstairs, two flights to be exact, the basement needed attention too. The homeowners wanted a space to relax, a bar to entertain, and room for a few TOYS!
Creating comfy living areas is something we love to do and a plush, large sectional is never the wrong choice! Neither is lots of pillows! We then flanked the TV with two arched black cabinets to ground the space and hide games, books and other items to keep it feeling clutter free. Having a place to put your feet up is usually a requirement in basement living areas, so we chose a coffee table with a soft leather top. A nice shaggy rug contains the whole area and helps divide the basement into separate living areas.
A basement is never complete without a bar! We love the simplicity of this one.
And we can’t forget about the toys! Ping pong and shuffleboard are always crowd pleasers!
We hope you enjoyed our two part reveal post! We have a LOT of other projects in the works to share with you over the coming months…don’t be a stranger!
